Brookhaven College also is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) and the Sustainability Education and Economic Development (SEED).
Since 2010 Brookhaven College has participated in RecycleMania, an annual recycling competition among colleges and universities nationwide.
