Artists Sandra Fernandez and Timothy High, professors at the University of Texas at Austin; Stephanie Hunder, professor at Concordia University in St. Paul; Brian Johnson, professor at Texas State University; Catherine Kernan, master printer at Mixit Printmaking Studio; Lynwood Kreneck, professor emeritus at Texas Tech University; Kathryn Maxwell, professor at Arizona State University, Tempe; Bradlee A. Shanks, professor at University of South Florida; Justin Strom, professor at University of Maryland-College Park; and Hui-Chu Ying, professor at University of Akron; worked in collaboration for five days during the Southern Graphics Council International printmaking conference in Philadelphia in March 2010 to produce the works. The screenprints challenge preconceptions of process, motif and individual authorship through the interactive process of collaborative creation.
Vance Wingate exhibits new paintings in the Studio Gallery. Wingate's works combine painting, drawing, collage and printed elements, informing the exploration of spatial structure with a richness of the visual surface. Wingate earned the Master of Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University and is gallery director at Texas Woman's University, where he also teaches in the graphics design program of the Department of Visual Arts.
