
With an alumni list that includes some of the most recognized names in comedy, The Second City has earned a reputation as one of the premier proving grounds for new comedy talent. Take advantage of the opportunity to see who might be next when the legendary Chicago comedy theatre troupe comes to Brookhaven College Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. in the Performance Hall.
Founded in Chicago in 1959, The Second City alumni list reads like a who’s who of American comedy. The list includes Alan Arkin, Robert Klein, Peter Boyle, Harold Ramis, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Martin Short, John Candy, Bonnie Hunt, Tim Meadows, Chris Farley, Mike Myers, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Horatio Sanz and countless others.
A performance by The Second City gives audiences a chance to see comedy stars in the making. Audiences will enjoy hilarious satire and cutting-edge improvisation, with no topic or subject matter off limits. Topics that were forbidden at the dinner table are fair game for The Second City. Tickets for spotlight events are available three weeks prior to the performance. Prices for floor seating are $30 for adults, $20 for senior adults and DCCCD staff and students. Balcony seating is $20 for adults, $15 for senior adults, DCCCD staff and students. Group rates are available.
