Planning is underway for the Brookkhaven College Conference Day in February. Feedback is coming in from employees and the committee is gaining ideas for breakout sessions and professional development. Evaluations from last year’s Conference Day showed that employees wanted to contribute ideas to the process.
Though the event will be very different this year, split across several of the college campuses, most of the planning and execution will be the same. A continental breakfast will kick-off the day before two morning breakout sessions. Session ideas to-date include a wide variety of topics ranging from financial planning, interpersonal skills for the classroom, yoga, purchasing a computer, xeriscaping or maybe a cooking class.
If none of these topics appeal, there are others under consideration or you could always contribute your own idea.
The awards ceremony and chancellor’s comments will be recorded earlier and broadcast at each of the campuses. More details will be presented as the big day gets closer.
