The latest exhibits for the Brookhaven College School of the Arts feature 29 works by 29 former students of the Fine Arts Department. The exhibit, Brookhaven College School of the Arts Alumni 1978—2008, is in both the Forum and Studio galleries and runs from Jan. 14 to Feb. 27.
John Brazeale, Du Chau, Chong Chu, James Darnell, Karen Davenport, Kandace Davis, Arthur Fields, Meikle Gardner, John M. Henderson, Jennifer Hill, Clayton Hurt, Corey Johnson, Amelia Jones, Ian Jones, Tori Kaspareit, Hannah Kim, Priscila Lima, Jean McComas, Grant MacManus, Goran Maric, Jorge Misium, Chancellor Page, Roxanne Phillips, Teresa Rafidi, Audra Tolbert, Shawn Smith, John A. Taylor, James Van Arsdale and Brian Zimmerman are each represented by a single work.
Marking the 30th anniversary of Brookhaven College, the exhibition presents work by alumni at differing stages of their careers, representing a broad survey of professional practices.
The reception for the artists is Feb. 22 from 6-8 p.m., coinciding with the annual conference of the College Art Association, the largest professional organization for college and university art and art history faculty, professional artists, and museum professionals.
The exhibitions are free and open to the public. The Forum Gallery is located in Building F, Room F101, and the Studio Gallery is located in Building D, Room D127. Both galleries are open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
