Thank You Notes

Marvin Johnson

The following letter was sent to the President’s Office from General Motors.

Dear Dr. Blackman,

On behalf of General Motors, it is my privilege to express our sincere appreciation for the contributions of Marvin Johnson with the International Association of General Motors Automotive Service Educational Programs, IAGMASEP, Board of Directors. His support as Regional Vice President has contributed positively to the overall association goals.

As you are aware, Marvin has served on the IAGMASEP Board of Directors for five years and through his efforts, has provided valuable input to the overall success of the association and their initiatives. With the IAGMASEP association representing 78 colleges in the U.S. and Canada, the Board of Directors provides valuable direction to assist GM in improving their educational programs.

By allowing Marvin to participate on the IAGMASEP, the organization has been able to maintain a high level of training standards for those participating in the programs and support a plan for life-long learning through AYES, GM ASEP and GM STC. In fact over the last two years, the IAGMASEP association has continued to work closer with GM management, develop and deliver GM ASEP specific text books, and initiate a pilot program to aid GM dealerships in developing maintenance technicians. I hope you will take pride in the contributions Marvin makes.

The support and service of colleges like yours largely dictate the quality of the IAGMASEP association and individual GMASEP programs. Again, thank you for allowing Marvin to be involved in the valuable work.

Sincerely,
Peter D. Lord
Executive Director, GM Service Operations
