Professional Support Staff Association members and friends gather each month at the Welcome Center in the Student Services Center to celebrate the employee of the month. With noise-makers in hand, they start walking to whichever building houses the winner. If you have never attended the employee of the month parade, it is a nice break in the day to take just five or 10 minutes to congratulate a fellow employee, so think about joining the fun the next time you see that e-mail.
For April, Anand Upadhyaya, student services specialist in Tutorial Services, was selected as the employee of the month. His nomination included praise for all that he has done for tutoring services, an important service for students. One statement commended Anand’s “excellent job developing and promoting it (tutoring) on our campus.”
