More than a hundred students, along with their friends and family members, gathered to celebrate at this year's Student Scholarship Reception. The event is sponsored by Town North Bank and is an opportunity for the college to recognize a few of its students for their outstanding work.
This year, 50 students shared more than $15,000 in scholarships. Dr. Sharon L. Blackman, college president, welcomed everyone to the event and Dr. Mary Brumbach, vice president of resource and economic development, acted as emcee. Scholarships were presented by Ray Attner, business professor, and Dr. Nita Drescher, developmental reading professor.

The students represented the wide range of programs at the college, some earning merit scholarships in their programs of study and others earning scholarships based on their need and accomplishments. The scholarships are funded through private endowments from local companies and individuals. Other scholarships are funded by college clubs and associations.
Special thanks for the event go to Hannah Love, senior administrative assistant, for all the work she did to prepare for the event.
