If you didn’t make it to the McKinney Avenue Contemporary before July 11, you missed the School of the Arts faculty exhibit as part of Academia: Pushing the Boundaries. The exhibition featured works from a group of scholars living, teaching and producing art in North Texas.
David Newman, adjunct professor and gallery director, acted as curator for the college’s faculty. Additional works from faculty members at the University of Texas at Arlington and teachers of Sofia Art Academy also were part of the exhibition. The works included a wide variety of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking, art metals, glass and video.
