Linus,
Thank you for helping me to get enrolled for the service-learning requested nursing instructor, Mrs. Brenda Routh. You were very helpful and patient. I really appreciated the fact that you walked me down to the Health Center where I will be performing my service-learning hours.
I will start on Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. tentatively on Mondays as per my schedule allows. You and advising counselor, Tricia Harrison, are a blessing to have around at Brookhaven College. Your helpfulness, patience and attitude of caring for the students, truly places emphasis on ensuring that all students get the help that they need in order to meet and or exceed their educational goals.
See ya around campus. Take care!

Dr. Dodd,

Patricia Dodd
I had you for English 1302 in Summer II at Brookhaven College. Over the course, I learned not just to improve my writing skills but I also learned to take part in my community. You told us to take a stand in something, stick with it and make a change for the greater good; whether it is big or small.
On Aug. 23, I had the opportunity to take time off from school and come back to Dallas to commemorate and celebrate the insurrections of slavery and the 200th Anniversary of the United States Abolition of The Slave Trade Act. We also took a stand on slavery that is still going on today saying, “There is no place for this in the human race.”
Being there that night, I could not help but think how powerful knowledge is and how being apart of something can help trigger the spread of knowledge of slavery going on around the world.
I would like to say thank you for making an impact in my life.
