October exhibitions at the Brookhaven College School of the Arts galleries include works by the varied and talented faculty members in the college’s art department and an exhibition by Dallas artist Susan Barnett, Oct. 6-26.
The School of the Arts Art Faculty Exhibition is in the Forum Gallery. Faculty members in this annual exhibition are: Betsy Belcher, Chris Blackhurst, Barbara Brault, Jim Burton, Du Chau, Chong Chu, Kandace Davis, Lisa Ehrich, Elisabeth Hurtado, Sara Luxen, Corey Johnson, Natalie Macellaio, Rick Maxwell, Margaret McDowell, Cynthia Mills, Susan Mollet, David Newman, Michael O’Keefe, Chancellor Page, Rebecca Swann, Lianne Krueger Sullivan, Don Taylor, Erik Tosten, Dave Van Ness, Jeff Yerger and Marla Ziegler. The annual faculty exhibition is an opportunity to see the breadth of professional practices the Brookhaven College art faculty brings to the classroom.

Art faculty members will discuss their work in an informal gallery talk in the Forum Gallery, Oct. 22, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
The exhibition Susan Barnett: Perception in the Studio Gallery presents new paintings by Dallas artist Susan Barnett. Barnett’s works continue her investigation of the psychology of color and structure.
The exhibitions are free and open to the public. Both galleries are open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For additional information about the gallery exhibitions contact David Newman, gallery director at 972-860-4101 or send an e-mail to dNewman@dcccd.edu.
