Spotlight On Computing

Spotlight On Computing

The Career Development Center is focusing a spotlight on careers in computing, Feb. 23-26. Each spring, the CDC highlights a program at the college with a series of speakers, programs and resources dedicated to showcasing the career potential of one program of study.

The week begins with an open house on Feb. 23 with resources that show students the salary and labor market statistics; career, employer and professional associations; and career paths. John Hakemack of IBM Global Business Services will give a presentation to students on Feb. 26 offering career insights from employers in the information technology industry from 1:30-2 p.m. in Building P. On Thursday, Bldg. P, Room P122, hosts an open house from 5-6:30 p.m. for students to meet other students interested in the program and talk with faculty members in computer information technology and computer science.

Encourage students with an interest in computing, as well as those who may not have a set career objective, to find out more about career options with this special week of programs.
