The Professional Support Staff Association, PSSA, offers a $300 scholarship each year and applications are being accepted now. The scholarship is open to all Brookhaven College students who are enrolling for at least six credit hours and who have a total GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Applications for the scholarship are available from the Financial Aid Office. PSSA members may not nominate students for the scholarship, but all employees are encouraged to suggest that students apply. Students must complete the application, submit a transcript or grade report and have a letter of recommendation from an instructor.
In addition to the general application information, students must write a brief paragraph describing each of the following.
The deadline for applications is 9 a.m. Feb. 28. The PSSA Scholarship Committee reviews applications and selected applications are sent on to the full membership for a vote.
