Thank You Notes

We are always looking for notes of thanks from students that recognize employees for their assistance, guidance or encouragement. If you or a colleague receives a thank you, don’t hesitate to pass it along to the Courtyard Chatter.

This was sent to Carla Peacock, assistant director of human resources, from Nita Drescher, communications professor.

Hi Carla,

My dad has this thing he says about people being a “jewel.“ He’ll say, “________ is a jewel.” I don't know anybody else who uses that phrase, but it describes you perfectly.

Thank you for being my advocate yesterday. Your care for people is reflected in everything you say and do. I appreciate you.

Nita

Charles McAdams

Charles McAdams

This is in response, in part, to the Black Memory Ribbon campaign for Charles McAdams, former humanities professor. This note was received from Sue McAdams and addressed to the employees of Brookhaven College:

At this time, our family is so thankful for the tributes, words spoken and written, as well as acts of kindness for Charles. Our loss is great, but with the help of faith, family and friends, we embrace the wonderful memories we have. For your kind thoughtfulness, we are most grateful...

Charles so loved being part of Brookhaven College. Thank you for great times, great friendships and thank you for the contribution to the scholarship in his name.
