Celebrate the accomplishments of women during the fourth annual Women's Expo March 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Services Center, Building S. The national Women's History Month theme this year is "Women Taking the Lead to Save the Planet," so the Brookhaven College Green Team is working with Outreach Services to help bring an environmental focus to the event.
As in the past, the focus will be on women-owned businesses and services that target women, but there will be plenty to interest men as well. Participants will be promoting women's talents and contributions in our community while providing helpful information on health, wellness and a greener lifestyle.
Recycling vendors will be at the event to collect your recyclable items, and Metrocrest Social Services will have a truck here to collect gently used clothing and household items.
