Student works filled both the Forum and Studio galleries for the past weeks, April 29-May 11. More than 100 art students were represented by 177 works in the 2009 Juried Art Student Exhibition. Selected by juror Patricia Meadows from 461 entries, the works in the exhibition were the culmination of the year’s work in studio art classes, and are representative of the breadth of the curriculum with works in art metals, ceramics, computer imaging, design, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and video classes.
Juror’s and Purchase Awards were announced at the Awards Reception, May 6.
Juror’s Awards were given to six students.
The Brookhaven College Permanent College increases with the purchases of 11 student pieces from the exhibition.
