Construction projects across the district have proven safer than the national average over the last three years.
The incident rate on Bond Program Management projects has been 1.03, compared to the national average of 5.4. There have been no fatalities, no lost work day injuries and just 10 injuries requiring medical care beyond first aid. National average marks 19 lost work day cases and 44 injuries requiring more than first aid.
More than 100 contractors and sub-contractors have worked for nearly 2 million hours on DCCCD campuses.
