
Escape reality and journey through the travels of famed musical composers with “Wanderlust,” by the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra. “Wanderlust,” meaning “the desire to wander or travel” in German, takes audiences on a journey through music. MSO will present “Wanderlust” Sept. 19 at Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch.
Guest musicians will include Inga Kroll and Ricky Reeves, both professors at Brookhaven College.
Kroll, a native of Estonia, is also a freelance violinist. Notable performers she has worked with include the Dallas Opera Orchestra, Reba McEntire, Diana Ross and Andrea Bocelli.
Reeves is a member of the Dallas Wind Symphony and has performed with the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving, Garland Summer Musicals and the Voices of Change chamber music ensemble.
The performance will feature “Fingal’s Cave” by Felix Mendelssohn, “Double Concerto for Clarinet and Viola” by Max Bruch, “Murder on the Orient Express” by Richard Rodney Bennett, and “Symphony No. 8” by Ludwig van Beethoven.
The Mesquite Symphony Orchestra will present “Wanderlust” Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the lobby of Building S on the Brookhaven College campus, 3939 Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch.
