One student artist is bound for success; he’s up for a scholarship and is currently being promoted on a local blog.
Student Francisco Alvarado is one of two Brookhaven College art students selected by art faculty to participate in the Dallas Art Dealer’s Association Edith Baker Scholarship exhibition and competition. He’s also currently featured on the DADA blog.
The exhibition will be at the Irving Arts Center through Oct. 3. The winner will be announced at the exhibition reception Sept. 24 from 6-8 p.m.
Each of the DCCCD art departments selected two students; a jury comprised of DADA gallery owners will select the scholarship winner. The recipient receives a $4,000 scholarship and an internship and mentorship with a DADA member gallery of their choice.
