Nursing students passed their state exams
with flying colors.
The nursing program can once again boast a 100-percent pass rate.
According to the Texas State Board of Nursing, 16 out of 16 Brookhaven College nursing students took and passed the NCLEX-RN exam for the third quarter of this year – April through June.
Mark Meyer, dean of nursing, said “We’re back on top!”
When the Texas Board of Nursing approved the college's Associate Degree Nursing Program for a two-year approval this spring, it commended the program for the pass rate of the graduates. The BON stated, "Credit for the success of the program is attributed to the students for their commitment to hard work, the admissions process for selecting strong candidates, the faculty who teach the nursing and support courses and the academic rigor of the nursing program."
