AAUW Seminar for Women Stalled in Their Careers

AAUW Seminar for Women Stalled in Their Careers

At the best of times, women face challenges in the workplace, and in uncertain times, the specific needs of women as working individuals can differ from the needs of men.

Focused on the needs of women, the Farmers Branch-Carrollton American Association of University Women is presenting Women, Work and Money, WWAM!. Women who are returning to work or who have been laid off can come and learn at the "Smart Woman Seminar: Outmaneuver Career Stalls and Stops" on May 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Brookhaven College in Building H.

The cost for the event is just $15 per person. Seminar topics will address the nuts and bolts of budgeting and credit, managing your own start-up, turning age into an advantage, networking and money smart-starts for a new career.

Financial assistance for registration may be available. For more information, please contact the AAUW at, or Deborah Stephenson at Brookhaven College at
