Career and Technical Education Getting Push from State

Career and Technical Education Getting Push from State

The state of Texas is rolling out a campaign to highlight career and technical education programs-TEXASgenuine.

Countless students have reached their career goal by gaining a career and technical education at a community college. With competition increasing from private colleges and universities, community colleges are moving to emphasize the valuable education they provide to local students. Statewide a group of education professionals are designing a plan to market the quality of the career and technical education programs at Brookhaven College.

The goals of the TEXASgenuine campaign are two-fold. First, one goal is to unify community colleges across the state of Texas in their common goal of preparing students for real world jobs. Secondly, the campaign purpose is to help students see the value and quality of Career and Technical Education that Texas community colleges provide.

The campaign will roll out in stages with the official website and several videos in May and a declaration of TEXASgenuine day in June.
