Retirees Recognized at Reception

Retirees Recognized at Reception

There were brownies and some iced tea, but since there were so many people being recognized at this year’s Retirement Reception, there were almost no empty seats.

Every department or division was represented with at least one employee who has already retired or who will be retiring before the fall. Also, a number of faculty members will be taking phased retirement beginning this fall.

From the library to student life, and from physical education to mathematics, there were people retiring from every office. Several of the retirees shared special memories of the college, as they were part of the college’'s “charter class” of employees.

Joy Arndt, Johnny Balajka, Bonnie Brisendine, Sue Crowson, Grace Dalton, Maria Hinojosa, Bob Hueston, Janice Groeneman, Linda Lee, Kathryn LeGrand, Linda Kleen, Marie Maness, Richard McCrary, Ghada Mohsene, John Neal, Bobby Nieman, Julie Pendleton, Jane Quetin, David Reagan, Justine Schmitt and Jill Williams were all recognized at the event with supervisors sharing a brief comment or remembrance and friends offering good wishes for the future.
