The digital scrapbook includes photos from the college as well
as those brought in by family members to commemorate
their loved ones.
After months of pouring through photo archives and planning a peaceful place for reflection, a dedication and formal opening has been planned for the Brookhaven College Memorial Garden. The reception and dedication is set for Oct. 27 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Employees, colleagues from throughout the district and family members have been invited to the event, hosted in the Performance Hall Lobby. Guests will come together for a first look at the digital scrapbook, and after some brief remarks as well as the reading of the names of the deceased, there will be a procession to the garden. The garden fits in the Renaissance Courtyard between Buildings C, D and K.
The garden memorializes all college employees who have passed away. The scrapbook includes as many names and photos as can be found but will be updated as names are submitted.
