Three consecutive exhibitions in the Forum and Studio galleries are featuring the course work of Art Department students.
“Studio Art Classes 2,” through Nov. 25, is showing work in ceramics, digital media, photography, printmaking and watercolor; and “Studio Art Classes 3,” Dec. 1-8, will show work in painting and sculpture.
“Studio Art Classes 1,” shown Nov. 1-11, highlighted the work in two- and three-dimensional design, drawing, life drawing and art metals.
Students are required to submit one work from each of their studio art classes, an experience that prepares them for exhibiting in a professional gallery, according to David Newman, gallery director. The exhibitions also serve as “a means of program assessment for the Art Department,” he said.
