The Brookhaven College Professional Support Staff Association is in the midst of its annual Coworker Appreciation Flower Sale. For only $1, send someone you know a personalized card and a carnation wrapped in greenery.
The sale ends April 20 and all orders will be hand-delivered to recipients' division offices April 25.
Proceeds go to the PSSA and are distributed in a variety of ways: student scholarships, emergency textbook fund, employee emergency fund and ongoing campus and community needs. Choose a card provided by the PSSA and hand-write the note, or contact a PSSA representative and they will write the note for you. Both cash and checks are accepted.
In December, the PSSA donated $300 toward Coats for Kids, which provided warm winter coats for the children in Head Start, according to Sarah Graifemberg, continuing education and workforce specialist, and fundraiser organizer.
