Students Nominated for USA Today Award

Students Nominated for USA Today Award

At Brookhaven College, we’re loud and proud about our students’ academic success! Congratulations to star students Diana Abou-Saleh and Jaime Baadsgaard, both nominated for the Phi Theta Kappa USA Today All-Academic Team award.

Universities and community colleges throughout the nation participate yearly in this exciting program. Criteria such as grades, academic rigor and growth as well as how well the students use their education to benefit the surrounding schools and communities are evaluated.

The top 20 students chosen for the All-Academic Team are rewarded with a $2,500 scholarship and national recognition through USA Today coverage.

It’s clear that Diana and Jaime have bright futures ahead of them. Jaime received a full scholarship to the University of Texas at Arlington and wants to pursue psychology. Diana will be transferring to University of Texas at Austin to engage in the school’s competitive communications program.

Brookhaven College is proud of Diana and Jaime, and we wish them the best of luck in the future!
