Professional Concert to Spotlight Student

MSO Performance to Feature Student

For the first time, the featured soloist for the yearly concert the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra conducts in partnership with Brookhaven College will be a student. Eunjin An, sophomore music student, will be the featured piano soloist for “Dramatico” on Sept. 15 at the Brookhaven College Performance Hall.

Since 2004, the symphony has been performing at the college with faculty members as the featured soloists, with the exception of the 2005 event, which featured the Brookhaven Choral Society.

This year’s Dramatico will showcase the music of Massenet, Schubert and Grieg.

Eunjin plans to complete her Associate of Arts in music at Brookhaven College and transfer to the University of North Texas and become a concert pianist and music professor. She was the recipient of the 2012 Alice Jones Berding Scholarship Award in Music.
