Student Lynda Washington walked away with more than a job interview after last month’s career fair. The full-time student also won the raffle for the Career Development Center’s $300 scholarship.
Lynda dropped by the Fall Career Fair Sept. 27 in search of the perfect part-time job: a position at a hospital so she could begin networking for her future career.
Working toward her associate degree in physical therapy, Lynda’s ultimate goal is to work in a hospital setting with a specialty in physical fitness. She plans to transfer to Texas Women’s University in 2015 to pursue her bachelor’s.
Lynda said she’ll use the scholarship toward her courses next semester.
