Shopping is to the holidays as the Fall Art Club Sale is to holiday shopping.
Student-created ceramics, jewelry, prints, paintings, photography, drawings and sculptures decorated the Student Services Center lobby Dec. 5 and 6, providing an eye-catching shopper's oasis.
The rows of original art were both affordable and impressive, and everyone from the eager shopper to the leisurely passerby took notice.
Though the final count is still pending, the club anticipates sales reaching above $10,000, according to Susan Mollet, art professor and club sponsor. With 80 percent of the proceeds going directly to the student artists, the club's 20 percent share will fund student scholarships and club events, Susan said.
