On Oct. 31 the contract with Dr. Pepper to provide beverage vending to all Dallas County Community College District locations expired. Through a competitive bid process conducted in April, Canteen Vending Services was awarded the new contract for both snack and beverage vending service.
Per terms of the new contract, and in preparation for the spring semester, Canteen is adjusting the prices for all carbonated and non-carbonated drinks by a quarter. Just a reminder, commissions paid on vending sales help support student activities such as Student Life events and athletics.
20-ounce Bottles: from $1.25 to $1.50
12-ounce Cans: from $.75 to $1
Energy Drinks: from $2 to $2.25
11.5-ounce Juice: from $1 to $1.25
The Business Office is working with Canteen to ensure that a variety of less sugar and fat-free, healthy food and beverage options are available in each vending area. We welcome your suggestions for product selection.
