Book Recommendations

"Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm" by Kate Douglas Wiggin
My daughter pulled it off the shelf recently and we are (re)visiting Riverboro together. Ellen has already asked if I might teach her to sew like the title character.

For my book recommendation, I highly recommend Kill Decision by Daniel Suarez.
It is a techy thriller that deals with unmanned drones in the military which has been in the media as of late. The author, Daniel Suarez, has an information technology background and is incredibly detailed describing the technology aspects throughout the book. You don't have to be a nerd to enjoy the book, its stands well by itself as a thriller.

"The End of Your Life Book Club" by Will Schwalbe
After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Will's mother develops a special relationship with her son through their love of books. The simple, yet rarely used, "What are you reading?" follows the mother and son as they cover books from every genre, as well as discussions on love, life and death. Fluctuating between humor, feel-good life talks, and loss, this book is must-have for any book enthusiast.
