Although the three days previous rain may have kept some participants away, we still had 74 participants come out in spite of the weather and celebrate the Spooky Trot. There were a total of 29 runners and 36 walkers, with the remaining 9 bringing food in support of the event. We are still getting donations brought to us, but totals as of right now are:
1002 lbs. of food, this equates to 668 meals that we will now be able to provide. We use the same conversion chart that the North Texas Food Bank uses for the total number of meals.
We had runners and walkers alike dressed for a very spooky run.
Winners are as follows:
Costume winners were:
Congratulations to all and thank you for supporting this annual event.
We had at least 12 volunteers. This included Mrs. Alewine’s Zombie English class, a few nurses, several staff members and of course, several from the police department.
Thank you to everyone! I could have not done this alone.
