Congratulate Joe McNamara, media circulation assistant, when you see him. He was selected as the Employee of the Month for February. It's been almost three years since someone took the "EOM" title, but Joe is not one to let being the first employee honored in so long go to his head – he hasn't got the time.
In addition to working full-time in media distribution, Joe is a part-time advisor and adjunct psychology instructor. You would think he would be a bit tired and a bit cranky with all that going on, but his nomination noted that he is "always delivering service with a genuine smile and utmost willingness to go the extra mile without hesitation."
The Professional Support Staff Association re-started the Employee of the Month Program just a few weeks ago. Delia Alvarez, administrative assistant to the instructional dean in Communications, stepped up to lead the new selection committee, and she was able to find a few others willing to volunteer for this task. If you have someone you would like to nominate for next time, just send your nomination to Delia, or contact her to find out more.
