Dallas Area Rapid Transit, DART, provides regular bus service, DART On-Call neighborhood shuttle service, and specialized Paratransit Service to Brookhaven College’s main campus.

Bus Service

Local Bus Route 486 and Crosstown Bus Route 488 serve Brookhaven College via the bus stop at the south entrance of the Student Services Center. These links at the DART site provide current information about the routes:

Bus Fares

Exact cash or change, DART Day Pass, or DART Monthly Pass are all acceptable fare payment methods.

Cash fare (bus only) $1.50
Single-trip ticket (rail only) $1.50
One-day pass (bus or rail) $3.00
Monthly Pass (bus or rail) $50.00

To use cash or change, insert the exact fare into the farebox as you board the bus. Fareboxes accept $1 bills, and/or coins, including $1 coins. Local Fares are valid for Local Buses, Red and Blue Light Rail Lines, and 1 Zone on Trinity Railway Express.

DART On-Call Neighborhood Shuttle

Farmers Branch residents can schedule DART On-Call curb-to-curb service within the city for $2.25 per trip. The service is available Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Call 972-880-7786 for reservations at least one hour prior to travel time. Reservations are not required for service from Farmers Branch Park & Ride. For a service-area map and more information, please visit:

Paratransit Service

Individuals with special needs may be served best by DART’s comprehensive, curb-to-curb Paratransit Service.

Paratransit Fares

All eligible riders, regardless of age, must pay exact fare when boarding. Operators cannot give change.

Fare per trip: $2.75
Guest: $2.75
Paratransit Fare Coupons - 10 trips: $27.50
Personal Care Attendants - no charge
