Brookhaven College offers specially designated honors courses for students who enjoy a richer and more challenging academic experience. Honors courses have smaller enrollments to encourage student involvement. And, honors courses are specially designated on your transcript.
Instructors are discussion leaders and group facilitators more often than lecturers. Formats may include seminars, team-taught courses, accelerated courses, interdisciplinary courses and courses with honors components. These offerings not only will emphasize facts, concepts and skills, but also will encourage reading, writing, discussion and collaboration with peers.
