THE POLITICS OF PEACE
The coordinated studies courses meet Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m.-1:20 p.m. in Room L104.
The program is a six-credit-hour block of SIX CORE CURRICULUM COURSES, interrelated by the theme "The Politics of Peace." This learning community will examine U.S. politics and culture in relation to domestic and international issues of peace and justice. Readings, films, experiential activities, being involved in service-learning, discussions and guest lectures will help students develop the understanding and skills for practicing and promoting peace and justice. The two program professors together meet with the entire group daily, so student-teacher interaction is enhanced.
Enrollment is limited to 40 students, so a true learning community is formed.
To register for the Coordinated Studies Program, see an advisor in the Brookhaven College Advising and Counseling Center, Bldg. S, Room S113.
