Non-science majors and returning students with limited biology background may take either course in preparation for their first biology course for majors. There are no prerequisites. Content includes biology in the modern world, DNA, genetics and the cell. The recommended on-campus orientation will be offered May 12 at 7 p.m. in Room K121. Online orientation is also available. Lectures, labs, most assignments, tests and quizzes are online, however, a midterm exam, lab practicals 1 and 2 and the final exam will be taken in the Testing Center or a prearranged alternate site.
