These classes will explore video as an artistic medium and will shoot and edit a short project as part of this class. Video cameras and software (Final Cut Express) will be provided. This is a hybrid course for learning to use Adobe Photoshop as an artistic tool. It meets once a week and has BOTH in-class and online required components. An additional non-required open studio lab will be held from 4:30-7:00 p.m. each Tuesday. Students must have access to a computer, either at home or in our Digital Art Computer Lab, Room F106. This course will integrate a traditional study of design with computer graphic applications. 2D Design
ARTS 1311-2003, Two Dimensional Design, and ARTS 1312-2002, Three Dimensional Design, will be offered in collaboration. Students will work on the elements and principles of design through a coordinated series of assignments which transition from illusionary space to physical space. These linked sections are highly recommended for students majoring in art. 3D Design
