Internet, Part I will use Microsoft Internet Explorer with reference to SBC/Yahoo, AOL and other browsers. This course will emphasize all basic e-mail functions plus attachments, searches using Google and other search engines, and addressing Web pages, using instant messenger and discussion groups. You will learn how to shop and purchase online and perform other activities at popular Web sites. Recommended Prerequisite: Intro to Windows. Legacy Family Tree, Part II
This course is a continuation of Legacy Family Tree Part I. Students will learn how to backup, restore, and perform complex searches on Family Files; use advanced tagging and print customized reports; use the source clipboard to record source information; correct mistakes in records in a Family File and export and import GEDCOMs. Required Prerequisite: Legacy Family Tree Part I. If you are 65 years or older and reside in Dallas County (or own property in Dallas County subject to ad valorem taxation), tuition for credit classes is waived for up to six credit hours per semester.
