If you’re interested in a career as an automotive service technician, Brookhaven College can provide the training you need. Today’s automobiles are equipped with multiple computers and extensive electronics. Servicing vehicles equipped with active suspension, satellite guidance systems and computer controlled, multi-valve engines requires highly specialized training.
Brookhaven College’s Automotive Technology Program is listed by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board as a provider of “national excellence” in higher education. The program provides seven paths of training for a career in automotive service.
The associate degree programs are nationally recognized, National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation – NATEF certified. Two are dealership-sponsored, industry-specific, specialized training programs to enhance the skills of existing employees and include Ford’s and General Motors’ factory-sponsored training options.
Graduates with the Service Technician AAS are eligible for factory-sponsored training from Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Volvo.
The four fast-track certificate programs are designed to prepare graduates to work as an automotive service technician or to upgrade skills for advancement.
