An alumnus of Brookhaven College, Shawn Smith earned his bachelor of fine arts
degree from Washington University, Saint Louis, in 1995. At Washington University,
Smith received the John H. Milikin Travel Fellowship and Paris Cité
Residency and Eliot Honors. He is the 1996 recipient of the de Golyer Fellowship
from the Dallas Museum of Art.
