Partnership with University of North Texas
Two Plus Two
Brookhaven College School of the Arts’ Music Department has a very
successful articulation agreement with the University of North Texas Music Department,
combining two years of study at Brookhaven College plus two more at UNT.
Each spring semester, the transfer exam to UNT is given to music students at the Brookhaven
College campus. This provides students the opportunity to test in a familiar environment where
they are comfortable and more relaxed. The articulation agreement is beneficial especially to
piano students because it allows them to take the UNT Piano-Proficiency Test. Brookhaven College
also receives from UNT updated curriculum revisions on a regular basis.
