Special skills are necessary for handling a busy and demanding medical office. Brookhaven College is the first in the Dallas County Community College District to add a program meant to prepare students for this career.

The Medical Office Management/Administration Program offers an updated Marketable Skills Achievement Award and a Level 1 Certificate. The program was designed to improve the proficiency of those working in a medical office or prepare those with strong office skills for the medical environment. The training can prepare medical front office staff to cross over into careers that include coding or billing specialist, medical assistant or office manager.

Information sessions will provide opportunities for potential students to learn about the schedule, tuition and book costs, financial aid resources and potential career paths. For additional information, contact Sharon Burton at 972-860-4163, for Medical Office Management/Administration, or Pat Byars at 972-860-4170 in Business Office Systems and Support.
