The Computer Science program offers transferable courses in computer science for those students wishing to obtain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related field. Students may take courses at Brookhaven College, that can be used toward a baccalaureate degree at a four-year college or university.

  • COSC 1300 – Computer Literacy: part of the core curriculum
  • COSC 1415 – Introduction to Computer Science and Programming: introduction to C and C++
  • COSC 1436 – Programming Fundamentals I: structured C++
  • COSC 1437 – Programming Fundamentals II: introducing JAVA
  • COSC 2415 – Advanced Computer Science and Programming: advanced C++
  • COSC 2425 – Computer Organization and Machine Language: assembly language programming
  • COSC 2436 – Programming Fundamentals III: including but not limited to C, C++, C#, Java, and/or Perl

Gaming courses

Gaming courses cover the basics of game theory, design, basic modeling and game physics. Students will design and create gaming and simulation projects. This program uses Open Source Software. Check out the GAME course offerings.
