student listeningComputer programmers are needed in every industry to write software to support their business needs. In the Software Programmer/Developer program at Brookhaven College, you will learn basic programming skills plus gain in-depth knowledge of a primary computer programming language (C++, Visual BASIC, or Java) along with experience in a second language. You also will learn basic skills in personal computing, problem solving, networking and systems analysis. Through electives, you can add specialized skills in database, Web development, electronic commerce, operating systems or networking. Graduates will be qualified to work as entry-level programmers in an applications setting.

Don’t have time to attend class? The Software Programmer/Developer AAS and the Software Programmer/Developer Assistant Certificate can be earned entirely online! Please refer to the Brookhaven College CIT Online Study Web page for more information or the student online services Web page for access to the most current course schedules and availability.
