Career Options

Graduates of the program will be qualified to become:

• a teacher of young children in a child-care setting,
• a teacher's assistant at an elementary school,
• a child-care administrator,
• an advocate or leader in the early childhood field,
• a family day home provider, or
• a professional in another capacity in the early childhood field.

Students who pursue the Associate of Arts in Teaching will be prepared to transfer to the university level and pursue a teaching certificate. Students should work closely with an advisor when planning to transfer to a university.
