At the beginning of each EMT course a mandatory attendance orientation day is scheduled. They are typically 2-3 days before the start date and will orient the EMT student to the EMT Program. Policies, procedures, syllabi, introduction to the faculty, administrators, staff and medical director as well as distribution of paperwork that will need to be completed and returned the first class day are some of the objectives covered.
Failure to attend may prohibit the prospective EMT student from continuing into the program. All EMT students are required to attend an EMT Program orientation held prior to the first scheduled day of class.
