Readmission Eligibility

Students who withdrew or were dismissed from the program prior to completion, for any reason other than an infraction of the Brookhaven College Student Code of Conduct, are eligible for re-admission provided they meet the following requirements:

  1. If less than 90 days from withdrawal or dismissal:
    • The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on their college transcript;
    • The student must re-enroll in the first EMSP class available for which they didn’t achieve an 70 percent score;
    • The student must successfully complete a 50-question comprehensive examination for the previously completed EMSP courses for which they had earned an 70 percent or better score —a “C” grade in the EMS Program;
    • The student must submit a current certified copy of their criminal history and background document issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety on his/her behalf;
    • The student must submit a current certified copy of a drug screen as currently used in BHC EMSP’s clinical program.
  2. If 90 or more days from withdrawal or dismissal:
    • The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on their transcript;
    • The student must re-enroll in the first EMSP class available for which they didn’t achieve an 70 percent score;
    • The student must successfully complete a 100-question comprehensive examination for the previously completed EMSP course for which they had earned a 70 percent or better score —a “C” grade in the EMS Program;
    • The student must complete a psychomotor skills check-off for the psychomotor skills contained in the modules for which they had previously received credit;
    • The student must submit a current certified copy of their criminal history and background document issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety on their behalf;
    • The student must submit a current certified copy of a drug screen as currently used in BHC EMSP’s clinical program.

Readmission After Student Code of Conduct Infraction

Students who were dismissed or expelled for infractions of the Brookhaven College Student Code of Conduct will be readmitted provided they:
