Admission Process for the Nursing Program

Students applying to the Nursing Program are required to take the Health Education Systems, Inc., Admissions Assessment, or HESI A2^TM exam. The HESI A2^TM study guide is available on reserve from the Brookhaven College Library. More information is available at www.hesitest.com. Obtain a HESI A2^TM instructional form from this link: HESI A2^TM Informational Form (PDF). Follow the procedure as listed on the form. The test costs $25. Exam dates for the HESI A2^TM will be posted on the Admissions Timeline page as they become available.

• Complete and submit:
  1. Nursing Program application form (PDF);
  2. course descriptions;
  3. Statement of Student Responsibility form (PDF);
  4. copies of waivers, substitutions, international pre-evaluation form, if applicable;
  5. accreditation proof;
  6. copy of the HESI A2^TM score sheet;
  7. all official copies of transcripts.

Place the above materials in a 9" x 12" envelope for submission either in person or by mail to Ann Cortez, Health and Human Services Division Secretary at the address below. The envelope must be received in the Nursing Admissions Office, Building K, Room K227 by the deadline found on the admissions timeline Web page. If mailed, please send it return receipt requested for your records.
